Create the perfect candle using natural eco friendly waxes, fragrance oils and colourings.

Staff are shown a number of modern candle-making techniques by a professional candle-maker and trainer.

Then it's over to you! Working creatively in teams, design and make your own candle and packaging. Decide the ingredients, calculate manufacturing costs and profit margins, then produce a TV advert and promote your product to the other teams.

The finished products are then tested and marks and prizes awarded for originality and profitability! Delegates also leave with the candle creations they produce.

This simulates an end-to-end business process from the initial concept through design of product and packaging, manufacturing, quality control and promotion. It's an enjoyable team development activity, which relies on co-operation and teamwork to ensure the best results.

A professional candle-maker demonstrates several types of candle-making techniques such as floating candles, beeswax, container and pillar candles.

Staff are then put into teams. After agreeing which type of candle they are going to make, they start work to see who can make the best!

At the end all candles are judged and points awarded for difficulty, creativity and overall success of the product! 

The team with the most points wins; prizes are awarded!

All colleagues take home a candle of their own making to remind them of the event!

A fun and social way to get colleagues together for a couple of hours of candle-making - possibly before lunch or dinner and perhaps with a glass of wine!

A professional candle-maker gives an overview of candle-making and then shows a number of techniques from regular pillar and container candles to ultra-modern designs.

Staff, with help from the trainer, then make their own candles for themselves, colleagues or friends and family!
