| The wax All our candles are hand-poured and made from 100% eco soy wax and natural botanical oils - from renewable and sustainable sources. The wax is biodegradable and grown without pesticides and herbicides; it is not tested on animals and contains no genetically modified materials Fragrances Our candles are made in small batches so they are fresh and fragrant when you receive them. Even before lighting, our fragrances will gently fill your home and revitalise your senses! We use only to top quality fragrance oils The list below details our stock items, however if there is a specific fragrance you desire please let us know - we can source and blend many others
We consider our environment in all we do at Candle by Night We use natural light from glass roofs and sun-pipes to light our workshop; and LED lighting at night In our workshop our wax melters are powered mainly by electricity from solar panels on our roof and (when the sun isn't shining) the remaining electricity is purchased from Good Energy. 60% of our hot water, used for production, is heated by our solar thermal panels Soy wax is water soluble so it's easy to clean the tins in soapy water and reuse them for other household purposes. (And tin containers do not degrade when recycled or reprocessed). Soy wax enables us to offer a refilling service for our glass containers and the savings are passed on to our customers Packaging is kept to a minimum and we use paper bags |
